I'm not relaxed but I was once, maybe you are using to many products in your hair or, you may not be rinsing the conditioner out well enough.

HTH

Girl you are not alone, that's the main reason I wear a ponytail. I don't know how to do nothing else.

what products are you using and exactly what is your method when doing your hair so the Ladies can better assist you

^ Ditto! I am so lazy when it comes to styling my hair that it has become my signature style. Will make an effort once it's long enough to do something different :)

Please let us know your exact steps. It doesn't look bad, it just looks like it doesn't have much body. Have you changed flat irons? Blow dryers? or products?

I would love to try to help.

Personally, my hair doesn't hang well if I use a lot of "heavy" products (esp. products with cones in them). The At One & Salerm that you used have heavy silicones in them. Maybe they weighed down your hair? You might also try using something more moisturizing than the At One condish next time around. If I'm flatironing my hair, I use the most moisturizing conditioner that I have on hand.

By the way, your hair doesn't look bad at all!:)

Use less/no product. I used to get swang on my neck length hair by doing that and brow drying with a round brush.

You need to wash and condition like normal then whilst it's damp add spray or lotion leave in, spray with blow dry protectant and add a little oil. Then blow dry with either a round brush or one of those straightening flat iron type brushes

then add a little serum or oil if you didn't add it before and flat iron in sections at most an inch big. The key to success is the blowdrying stage.

My hair flows the most when I use only heat protectant to flat iron. I airdry first with dove leave-in spray and then take a little nuetrogena serum and rub it through my hair. After that I just flat iron it and it is really swinging /flowing.

I would give you my tips, but my hair is layerd so we probably have different aims when flat ironing. I'll try to find another thread.

Girl you are not playing with that search feature. I am so proud of you. You go. ;)

On Topic...Yes, you that link. And if worse comes to worse, rock a cute updo or bun style!! There are so many ways to dress up a plain jan hair do!!

What type of flat iron are you using? and on what heat setting? For me, I get the best silky flat iron styles when i use my flat iron on the med - high setting but I only do 1- 2 passes on the hair, max(use a heat protectant). If the heat is too low then you have to keep going over the same strands of hair and for me it makes my hair dull looking. Just a thought:ohwell:

Your 2nd photo doesn't look too bad. Are you using the same products (and same amounts) as your stylist? That would make a difference
