Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share my happiness with you guys! I made BSL on 05/04 and went to the salon and had the stylist cut my hair!!!
I am back to SL and my hair is so much healthier in only 7 months. My main goal has been accomplished and my motto is health before length. I know I will be BSL again.I am transitioning and now at 5 months post. The stylist flat ironed my hair with a FHI iron and cut about 3-4 inches off. She used Dudley creme press. Here is a pic from yesterday and today:

More pics in my fotki.......

It looks great nice and healthy, but why did you have to cut so much off, was it because you decided to transition or did you have a lot of damage?

Thank you!
I had a bit of damage due to kinky twists getting tangled on the ends during removal (1-2 inches of thinner ends). The stylist showed me what was needed to be trimmed off (1 to 2 inches) and she asked is that good. I told her that she could cut more because I want my ends to be thick. She showed me where she would cut it in order to get my ends as thick as I wanted and I told her to go for it. She cut off maybe 3 to 4 inches and my ends look amazing. I also went for it because I am transitioning and it only makes it easier for me. I will have less relaxed ends and that will get me to being fully natural much quicker. :yep:

How did you post your pics side by side?

I used the paint application to do my side by side. I just opened the pic that I wanted and made the attributes bigger length and width. I then copied the other pic that I wanted into the space. It sounds hard but it was very easy. I hope you understand my directions.....kinda hard to explain.:perplexed

CONGRATULATIONS on the accomplishment, Cheekqueen!!! You did a brave but good thing getting that trim. You hit your length goal, now you're going for health, ... and soon you'll be back with length and health. Great job, girl!! Can't wait to see you on the natural side. :grinwink:

Thank you, Loo! I am not my hair!! It is just a pretty accessory. LOL!! It will grow back healthy, longer, and stronger than ever.

Thanks for responding, I was just curious is all:grin:, your first pic looks nice and healthy too, but of course I can't see what you see. It's good that you have a stylist that listened to you and didn't go on a scissor rampage. Your hair looks pretty.

Congratulations on your transition! Your hair looks great!

hey CQ I am feeling you on the trims . they are really good for our hair .
yur hair looks beautiful:grin:

I was wondering why you got so much taken off too, but now I see your explanation. It looks very thick and full now. You're brave. I probably couldn't have seen so much go all at once.

I want to thank you ladies for all the support! You guys are AWESOME! My hair journey continues and that just means more fun for me to track each and every milestone all over again. :yep::grin:
