MTG. Is it really worth it?

I'm on my way after work to the Farm Supply store to purchase a 32 oz bottle of MTG for $16.95. For the users or past users is it really worth it? I mean, I've heard the smell is awful so is the amount of growth you get worth it. I plan to stick my nose to it before I leave the store. I'll know then whether I can stomach the smell. I plan to due a patch test some place in the back of my head. I don't want all of my hair to fall out.

I think Naturallady sells an odorless version of MTG which works just as well.
