100% Natural
Current Length:APL
Method of washing: Shampoo in sections
How often: Every 2 weeks
Why: I'm trying to keep it as low maintenance as possible. If I have cornrows I can wash every 1 week.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural
Current Length: (TWA, neck, APL, BSL, WL, etc.) almost BSL
Method of washing: (Shampoo, cowashing, water, oil or a combo of all.) Shampoo and Co-washing
How often: (Daily, every other day, weekly, etc) Every other day
Why: (eg. exercise, dryness, etc) Product Build-up and my hair loves water. Any longer than a week and my scalp starts to itch and my hair rebels.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% natural.
Current Length: MBL
Method of washing: Shampoo. I rarely co-wash.
How often: Every week.
Why: Dryness and exercise.

100% Natural
Current Length: Between APL & BSL somewhere
Method of washing/How often: If wearing straight, shampoo and deep condition once a week or so; if natural, cowash/rinse daily or every other day--shampoo once per week
Why: Avoid build up, which causes knots in my natural hair. Keep hair moisturized and strong in general, scalp clean. I get the itchies if I go too long between washes.

Natural
Current Length: Mid Back
Method of washing: cowash, sulfate free poo, shikakai
How often: cowash every day, shampoo when I use styling products (2-3 times a week) shikakai when i have a little extra shower time
Why: I have very fine hair that gets build up easily. I like to wet my hair every day

100% Natural
Current Length: BSL
Method of washing: Shampoo...sometimes co-wash
How often: Every 3-4 Days
Why: I don't like my hair to have a scent or be itchy, so either exercise, cooking, being around smokers or just itchy hair will prompt me to wash it. I used to co-wash everyday but my hair gets so darn oily and weighed down.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% NATURAL
Current Length: SL +
Method of washing:Shampoo
How often: every 2 weeks or longer
Why: i have fine strands, and shampooing my hair often is too much(dryness). i excersise oftn, so i use water rinses alot too.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: all natural
Current Length: (TWA, neck, APL, BSL, WL, etc.) SL
Method of washing: (Shampoo, cowashing, water, oil or a combo of all.) Shampoo, water rinse, cowashing
How often: (Daily, every other day, weekly, etc)
Shampoo 1-2x wk
Water rinse/spritz: 1-3x wk for exercising or reactivating product
Cowashing:4x max per wk
Why:(eg. exercise, dryness, etc) Dryness and Volume

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural since this Feb
Current Length: APL
Method of washing: low poo/ACV combo
How often: once a week
Why: I use gel and other products so I have to wash that stuff out of my hair each week. If it weren't such a chore I would wash my hair twice a week.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% natchal
Current Length: TWA
Method of washing: Cowash daily, shampoo once a week
How often:^^
Why: I cowash daily because a wash n go is pretty much all I can do. I shampoo once a week to remove the gook that I put in my hair all week lol (leave ins, gel, etc).

100% Natural: Almost 8 mos. post BC
Current Length: Top of NL
Method of washing: (Shampoo and co-washing
How often: I just recently started co-washing about twice a week. Depending on how my hair and scalp feel I may shampoo instead of co-wash. If I work out I'll rinse/co-wash more often. Months 1-6 of being natural I would co-wash just about daily.
Why: I like water, I like conditioner, to alleviate itchy scalp, to rinse sweat after working out and it's relaxing.

My answer was logged wrong b/c I thought you meant true washing, as in shampooing. Mine should say DAILY!

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural :yay:
Current Length: Between APL & BSL
Method of washing: Cowash daily, shampoo about 1-2x per month tops
How often: See previous answer.
Why: Love daily cowashing and my hair thrives from it. Helps to detangle. Shampoo dries me out badly.

I'm 100% natural
Length:SL
I wash every other day. Usually pre poo with oil then co wash, shampoo and dc on the weekend.
I do this mainly for moisture I'd say.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100 % Natural
Current Length: (TWA, neck, APL, BSL, WL, etc.) Collar Bone length, stretched
Method of washing: (Shampoo, cowashing, water, oil or a combo of all.)--Shampooing
How often: (Daily, every other day, weekly, etc) Every other week
Why: (eg. exercise, dryness, etc) --I used to wash and DC weekly when I first BC'd, but lately I have scaled it down to once every two weeks. I work full-time and am a part time grad student, so honestly, I just don't feel like dealing with my hair. Less I manipulate the better I guess. I just moisturize in between washes. I may DC more in the winter and I let co-washing go a LONG time ago.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural
Current Length: SL
Method of washing: Co-washing weekly and shampooing monthly
How often: I chose weekly, but it's more like twice a week or whenever my scalp starts itching like crazy.
Why: Excessive dryness and itchy scalp.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural
Current Length: Between APL and BSL
Method of washing: Shampoo
How often: Monthly
Why: I hate washing my hair and dealing with shrinkage. Washing dries out my hair. My hair acts and feels better when washed less frequently.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: Natural
Current Length: SL
Method of washing: Shampoo and cowashing
How often: I shampoo once a week I co washing 1-2 times per week
Why: my scalp gets dry fast, my hair gets oily and dirty fast as well so shampooing once a week is a must and cowashing allows me to get by for 2-3 days :)

100% Natural
Current Length: Shoulder length
Method of washing: Non-sulfate shampoo in two sections
How often: Every 10 + days
Why: Wear twist 95% of the time, low maintenance...

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: Transitioning, nearly 22 months post relaxer- I still have some relaxed ends here and there.
Current Length: In between shoulder length and arm pit length
Method of washing: Shampoo. Co-washing doesn't clean my hair. I'm interested in oil washing though.
How often: As needed, but for the most part weekly. However, if my hair is in 2 strand twists I try to go 1.5 - 2 weeks. I wish I could go 3.
Why: So many reasons. Hand in hair disease, missing my curls, missing straightness, dirty, product build up, dryness, or just because I LOVE washing my hair.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural

Method of washing: cowash every other day. Shampoo when needed.
How often: every day or every other day
Why: I like my scalp clean and it's just by habit. Some days I just let the water run through and only do a leave in con.

-Natural

-BSL

-Cowash every 3rd day or so, Wash with shampoo randomly when I feel I need it, maybe once every other week, unless I'm going to straighten my hair (I always wash before I rollerset)

-Haven't figured out how to make a wash n go last more than 2.5 days, so by the third morning I just co wash again. I rarely deep condish, I co-wash and leave cheap condish in.

100% Natural or long-term transitioning: 100% Natural
Current Length: NL I suppose. My hair is about 5 inches
Method of washing: I use shampoo. Currently I'm experimenting with terressentials clay wash :yep:
How often: 2 times a week
Why: My scalp needs it. I have SD and my scalp gets itchy and tight and really sore when I'm not washing frequently. Plus, my hair responds well to regular washing.
