Nice pics OP!
I use banana clips to make my french rolls, it's definitely a lot easier and more secure than using 1001 bobby pins to 'hold' my natural hair in place. *lol* The 1st pic on the left in my siggy is an example. I plan to experiment more with them come spring/summer.![]()
I understand because my hair breaks them like crazy. And I hate that because they were so convenient for me.I think my hair would break a banana clip. So many things have popped and snapped out of my hair. Your hairstyles are cuuuute and I wish I could wear them![]()
Ooooh, I love wearing banana clips! I wear them mostly during the warmer months...and sideways instead of mohawk style. Here are pics from last summer:

Have to try it.
, but don't have many pics. I use then when my twistouts/braidouts get old, or just after a caruso set.......
You can pick them up @ just about any beauty supply store for a buck. Walmart & Target probably carries them as well. Also Sally's has some like these that may work better if you have thicker hair:

HTH!
The trick to not breaking them is by putting your hair in a pony tail first, close the clip around the ponytial, and then take the pony tail down and fluff hair!!! Trust me this works!!
I actually got all the way to work with it secure and was there for a bit before I heard a snap and reached up and realized it broke
It was the one above I bought from Sally's.This is exactly what I do and my hair is thick!
.
my banana clip. It's my go-to style. I've never had a problem with breaking my clip; but then again, mine is made of a plastic that has a little more "give" than the standard banana clip. I bought it years ago, but I can't find another one like it now.
I was thinking of trying this one I found on eBay for thick hair http://cgi.ebay.com/4-JUMBO-INTERLO...tZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b7921b79#****
