I am trying to prolong the shelf life of some of my conditioners and moisturizers. This includes Karen's Body Beautiful Luscious Locks Conditioner and Qhemet's Burdock Root Creme. Do you think I can refrigerate them to keep them fresh, etc.?

What are some the ways you all been successful in storing or prolonging the life of your products? All ideas are welcome.

Alot of the Natural Handmades I keep in the Fridge during warmer months. I have a Shelving Unit in my Garage, so right now most of those are in the Garage (It's Cold Here).

I keep things like Bear Fruit Hair & My Honey Child in the Fridge. Also, the ButtersN'Bars Hair Masque (tells you to refrigerate) so it's there too.

Things that are 'natural' and that are questionable in preservatives go directly in the Refrigerator. Mostly DC'ers.

I don't keep daily moisturizers i.e. Lotions, Creams in the refrigerator.:nono:

I've ordered this as well and it is currently in the fridge. How do you find this mask?

Girl....I really like it.:lick:

I steamed it in under the Steamer. I was afraid it would be hard to rinse out, but it wasn't at all.:nono:

I applied it w/o Gloves and thought it would be 'staining' but was not.

It rinsed right out. I rinsed for a while though. And my hair was incredibly soft. :yep:

I think it looks more intimidating than it actually is. I enjoyed it and loved the way my Hair felt.

btw: I also store my Henna in the Freezer as well.

shea butter.

Yep. I lost many good pounds of good shea butter this way. So anything with shea butter - refrigerate it!

Avocado oil or butter also has a short shelf life.

I'd also refrigerate any natural product that's watery because mild preservatives only work for the short term.
