Below is a link to a book review/"masked boycott" on amazon.com about our LHCF forums. TO THE PERSON WHO WROTE THIS REVIEW:WHY???! Everyone is intitled to their own opinion. But slandering and draging LHCF through the mud is downright disrespectful to those who are honest and for those who reach out and give knowledgable advice and tips. To my LHCF sistas: PLEASE POST YOUR OPINIONS HERE AND REASURE OUR NEWBIES THAT WE ARE NOT FAKE!!!To the person who sent that nasty review: Please don't take what you think is right and pose it on others. Let everyone have their own chance to decide weather or not LHCF is for them, don't decide it for them. Also, if by chance there were "fake" people on this forum we all cannot deny the helpful tips and advice that these "fake people" have given. We all have our shortcommings, but in the end its between ourselves and God.

The review was made by a "veronica beaverhousen" scroll down to the review section of the page and read her second paragraph....

"I have read this book a couple times and it can be used for a reference if you should have any questions. Look, it is a quick read. Cathy is just a consumer who got smart and educated about learning about what makes our black hair grow. Sure it's common sense-eat right, sleep right, excerise, drink water, and so on so forth. Things you should be doing anyway.
Please by all means DO NOT go on longhaircareforum.com it was a joke and a waste of time. Some if not most people on their are wearing weaves and lace front wigs, lying about how their hair grew so long in a matter of weeks, and how their hair will be growing down to their ankles by year's end, and fussing who said what about the Bible, pure craziness!!!! Back to Cathy - she isn't going for a Pulitzer in literature here so do let the bad grammar if any surprise you.
This book help me so much about why my hair was so dry and itchy all the time. I wasn't moisturizing my hair at all. Well Duh! Now I dont have to be under dermatologist care or cost to deal with dryness and itch. I highly recommend this book. Hey if cost a factor, you can check it out at the public library like I did................ "

DAAAAAMN it's like that?:ohwell:

Wow....Someone must be mad. Honey, if you follow directions your hair can be long and lustrious too. No need to be mad.

She's just mad...and jealous because her hair can't get like the women here on LHCF. That loser, she doesn't know any better.

Wow, that was weird. She's reviewing a haircare book and segues (sp?) into negative talk about LHCF, it was very random.

Must be some "pick headed" chick  whose hair didn't grow due to her own neligance, poor hair habits, and thinking that her hair too will grow to her ankles by the end of the year. Oh well! I suspect that some people come on here with BIG dreams of growing their hair the length of one of their legs in a year and become disappointed when it doesn't happen. Too bad they don't stick around to adjust their way of thinking and patiently wait around for the good times to come.

Sounds like someone need's Nikkos T-Shirt.:look: ...and some prayer. Where my Bible fussers at?

Seriously, seems like there's a bit of anger there.

Wow...that book review has nothing to do with LHCF...and the Bible part?? I hope she's not the one leaving anonymous messages...

Everyone I know has said that my hair looks better and is much longer than they did before I came to LHCF. I am VERY offended by them even thinking something so horrible! I honestly can't believe it.

Ladies please do not waste time on this ignorant person. Apparently she has not learn much about african american's hair if she think everyone on here has weave. She is a person with a grudge. giving this issue more attention is only satisfying her hatred. Let this rest.

This is what popped into my head when I read it.

The comments in this thread are hilarious.

But on another tip, most of us have been weave-checked or accused of having weave at some point, so can we really be mad at some catty broad for accusing us of that? Probably not. :look: It's a compliment.

Hmmm...
I think something smells funny.
On the one hand she put's Cathy Howse's Book on a pedastal and on the other slams LHCF on which you get MORE information and support for LESS money...
Sounds like the oldest trick in the world to me...

Wow... that was really random. I wouldn't worry about it. I think any thinking woman would take a look around before making a decision. I think you can look in the hair albums and see that the hair is real.

(on the real tho' we do fight about the Bible alot... as soon as someone starts quoting anything... or saying anything about it... the knives come out).

She is probably a loyal posting member... just trying to keep the Cathy Howse chicks off of LHCF so she can have it for herself. Too many people kept mentioning LHCF in their reviews so she had to distract folks so that she could continue read up over here in peace.:fan: I mean, what good is it to have everybody swangin'? It's only special when its just you... riiiiiiiight?

and shoot, if my hair was weave, I should have kept my reciept and headed on back over there for a refund. This airdried monstrosity over here must be the .99cent swap meet packs or something:lachen:

That was random! I believe this site has truly helped me. My hair was a little bit past shoulder length when i started here and now it is about 1 inch or less from APL due to my new knowledge of protective styling. I did not know anything about proper haircare before I came to this site. I just did my first protein treatment (Aphogee) last night and my hair feels so much stronger and I haven't seen any breakage which is a plus because I always had a problem with that. I truly thank the ladies on this site for all their wonderful advice, without it I would probably be still at shoulder length like I have been.

1 Corinthians 11:15
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

Bring out the knives!:lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

Divine Inspiration, I love your Lace Front:look: ....I mean your new pic:lachen:

Oops, gotta run, I got a losse track I need to glue:lachen:

That's right Divine Inspiration...it's a compliment...it is kind of funny though.

This site has too many success stories for that crazy post to be true. She is nuts!

This site was far better for me than Cathy's book. I mean Cathy's book gives you a good basis, but this site helped me find the products that work for me, something Cathy does not even want to discuss. This site has also given me the support of my girls when I have been down and praise when I meet my goals. That is just priceless! That reviewer must have not been able to hang, that's all.

I bet her nasty attitude made her hair fall out!

Well I have been her for a little over a month, and the fact that my hair grew 1 inch in like 3 weeks makes me wanna shout, cuz it never did that before
thanks LHCF:grin:

Good point! I've had people try to put their fingers all in my scalp! I have to consider that a compliment...an irritating compliment, but a compliment nonetheless! So if 'ol girl is out there hating on LHCF, all I have to say is, we must be doing something right!:yep:

any press is good press!

She put the address to this site in that post. If anything, people are going to come on here out of curiosity and see what she was talking about. Once they come here, they will see with their own eyes how wonderful this site is and see all the advice and success stories everyone has. Then, that person may like what they see, and join the LHCF family. Thats 1 LHCF 0 Beaver's House.

The way she went into LHCF was really bizzar and random. Still, when my hair gets to BSL or WL with the help of this forum, i'll take it as a compliment if someone thinks its a fake weave or lacefront wig. The joke will be on them when they realize its all home grown!
