Man, this convo has the potential to get so deep. I don't know how long you have been married but your hubby is gonna have some serious reality shock waves to deal with as you guys move forward together. My husband doesn't care about my scarf wrap at all. I guess he has tunnel vision because his eyes are on the prize!Anyway, he's seen me at my very, very worst - illness, etc., and I'm glad that through it all, he still finds me to be very sexy, beautiful and desirable.
P.S. Don't start anything you can't finish. Meaning: don't get him used to you bending over backwards to meet his standard of beauty 24/7 and then years down the road slack off because it will cause BIG trouble. Just a bit of sisterly advice. I have friends that started off tryna please dat man (even if it meant not doing something that was important to them) and then he got spoiled and when they tried to adjust the situation all hell broke loose.
Share your hair goals with him. I hope he's the kind of guy that would understand.
I couldn't agree with you more! Just be you. That's all you can do. You can't bend over backwards to please him when you aren't pleasing yourself. He should understand your hair goals and support them.
I've been wearing a scarf at night our entire marriage (2 1/2 years) and 2 1/2 years of dating b4 that. I just started baggying and my hubby supports it because he sees the difference in my hair and supports me.
