NO, you should see my in the Indian grocery store!
Trying to despiser the non - English labels on some of the hair/beauty products!
I go where my hair tell me to go.....
Like they're wondering if the products really work. I'm sure if you only shop ethnic isle, after a while you would feel a tad bit limited
Actually when I'm in the regular non-ethnic isles I get awkward looks from other blacksLike they're wondering if the products really work. I'm sure if you only shop ethnic isle, after a while you would feel a tad bit limited
erplexed Once I noticed when I walked away, a sista who was watchin me on the sly
came and grabbed the same product, like she wanted to see what it was about

. Side eyes, chicks picking up every product I look at. I had a whole convo with a cashier one night about Aussie and if it works for our hair because it's a "white product" ..I don't feel ackward about it at all.... I honestly only go to I guess the "ethnic" section when I know there is something specifically I need. Other then that ...I'm browsing else where...
Texas... They treat certain people down here differently then others when it come to customer services. Other then that it not super racist and people get a long. It just some people give weird looks when you a super nice store.
If someone's judging me, I don't notice because I'm too busy having a Product Junkie fit. I can't read ingredients, try to remember member's reviews, drool over packaging AND notice people around me. I'm in the zone.

I never understood the ethnic hair care aisle. It is geared toward Black women (& men), but doesn't everyone have ethnicity??? Why is ethnic associated w/just Black people? LoL
LOL this happened to me too!!Once I noticed when I walked away, a sista who was watchin me on the slycame and grabbed the same product, like she wanted to see what it was about

In most stores Black hair products are merged with the other ones so no one notices or cares. And even when they're separate, I don't feel weird and no one's looked sideways at me.
no lie . ill hesitate if there are 4+ people
its always older white women that give me funny looks
especially when ipick something up and take my time to read the ingredients
smdh .
People don't expect you to do that. People usually ignore them or shoot them an evil glare and not SAY anything. :yup: Either they'll turn away and pretend they didn't just get embarrassed, or they'll ask me a question about what I'm looking at or whatever. And that's fine. I do that everywhere, not just in the hair care section of any establishment.
